Do you want to take remote desktop connection of a machine on which your Mac is running and which was running on the same network? It can be done so easily with few simple steps. The basic pre-requisite here is both the machines but be running on the same network and also make sure that the machine from which you need to take the connection must be on state and have proper internet connection. Turn on both the machine i.e., the machine from which you need to take remote desktop connection and the other on which you need to take the connection.
Now, launch Finder by clicking anywhere on the screen. Make sure that Finder menu icon is displayed at the header. From the menu options, click on ‘GO’ menu and here you can see a list of options available.
You can find ‘Connect to Server’ option at the end among the list of options. Click on the ‘Connect to Server’ option and ensure that a ‘Connect to Server’ pop-up window appears. Enter the IP address of the machine as smb://192.168.x.x and click on ‘Connect’ button. Connecting status appears on the screen followed by a window asking you to enter the credentials to login to the remote machine. Enter the credentials such as user name and password and click on ‘Connect’ button to continue connecting to the remote machine or to cancel the connection click on ‘Cancel’ button. This is how you can take remote desktop connection on a Mac machine.
