How to adjust Sound settings in iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad:

In order to adjust Sound settings in your device, tap on Settings icon from the Home screen and navigate Settings tab. Then scroll over the Settings tab, you will find Sounds option among the list of options. Tap on Sounds feature. You will direct to Sounds tab. In the Sounds tab you will be provided will set of adjustments, here are the list of adjustments provided in Sounds tab.

RINGER AND ALERTS:

You can adjust the volume of your device by dragging the circle icon over the horizontal line shown below the RINGER AND ALERTS header. By dragging the circular icon to right you can increase the volume and by dragging to the left you can decrease the volume. The Alert sound or ringtone of your device depends on this adjusted sound in sound settings. You have one more option to increase the volume of your device by using buttons which available with the device. In order to have the functioning of these buttons, you need to switch on the toggle button beside Change with Buttons option under RINGER AND ALERTS header.

SOUND Settings:

You can select remaining sound types by choosing the options under SOUNDS header. You can choose your Ringtone by tapping on the disclosure icon beside the Ringtone field. You will be provided with a list of ringtones available with the device or even you can even choose from Store. You can choose from the Store by just tapping on the Store icon on the top right corner. You can select your Text Tone by tapping on the disclosure button beside the Text Tone field. Whenever, you get a new mail you can have alert. You can do this by setting a tone for New Mail. Tap on the disclosure button beside New Mail to select your New Mail tone. You can even do this for sent mails also. By tapping on the disclosure button beside the Sent Mail field you can select the tone of Sent Mail field. Similarly, you can even do this for other third party social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook. You can change the tone of Tweet and Facebook posts by tapping on the disclosure buttons beside Tweet and Facebook Posts fields. And you can have alerts for Calendar and Reminder apps. In order to get the alert tones for Calendar and Reminder apps you must select an alert tone for them. You can do this selection by tapping on the disclosure button beside Calendar Alerts and Reminder Alerts fields and by choosing your desire tone as alert tone.

We can even have sounds on keyboard clicks and screen lock also. You can enable sound in sound settings for screen locks by switching on the toggle button beside “Lock Sounds” field. And, then you can enable sound in sound settings even for keyboard clicks by switching on the toggle button beside Keyboard Clicks. If you don’t want any sound for screen lock or keyboard clicks just turn off the toggles button beside the respective fields.
