The Apple data center located at Reno is being doubled sooner:

So far there has been only a limited space for the Apple data center at Reno. Many operations are being carried out at this data center. Apple has been growing up with the latest innovations all across the world with its operations majorly held in Reno.

Currently, the Apple data center located at Reno is constructed in an area of 412,000 square feet with 14 buildings. This data center will have the name as Project Mills is specially build up to carry out the operations of iTunes, App Store, iBook, and few other Apple associated services. This data center has divided into clusters where individual operations were being carried out.

Recently, Apple is planning to implement few other operations like the development of Apple car, Apple Auto, etc. To perform all these operations, it requires additional space. It is one of the primary reason Apple thought of extending its data center space.

Project Huckleberry Apple data center

The new Apple data center is going to be named as Project Huckleberry, which is going to be developed very near to the current data center Project Mills at Reno Technology Park. Apple has recently taken this decision. And Apple has quickly started the construction. Though it may take the time to complete the entire construction which required for the Apple data center, we may expect many upcoming products which are going to be developed by Apple at its biggest data center.

Apart from this Data Center Apple is also planning to build a big Thermal Plant to generate electricity for their center’s operations.
